Happy New Year from A Beautiful Belly!

Dear Belly friends and family:
2009 was a tough year for many of us, full of economic hardship, political strife, and now people trying to blow us up with their underwear, but as my mother is always quick to remind me, one can usually find a few blessings in even the darkest of times.
For the Belly creative team as a whole — the cast and crew — our greatest blessing was the opportunity to work together to produce an independent feature film (for many of us, our first). That dream would not have become a reality without your generous financial and moral support, and we’re thankful to have received it. While our task is not yet complete, we continue to make progress in post production. The film is now 1 hour 45 minutes long. We have a few pickup shots to grab early in the year before we can lock picture, at which point our focus will be scoring the film and working on the sound mix.
Of course, for me personally, another blessing has stolen the spotlight from A Beautiful Belly: my wife’s pregnancy. Tomorrow, Angelyn and I will celebrate our anniversary, and after seven years of marriage, we’re excited to be welcoming a child into our home this summer.
I guess in many ways, I view 2009 as a year of promises that will see fruition in 2010, which makes me all the more excited for the new year and all it will bring, most of all my first child and a completed motion picture.
So again, from our family to yours, thank you for the blessings of the past year, and we wish you nothing but greater blessings in the new year to come.
